AGC & ASG Staff and Family Members Participated in the 2008 Heart Walk!

Last year, the Georgia Branch, AGC staff and the staff of our third party administrator, Affinity Service Group (ASG) participated in the local American Heart Association’s Heart Walk. We enjoyed coming together with representatives from several of our member firms during the event. I’m encouraging all Chapter members to get involved in this year’s event in November.

One of the reasons AGC decided to become involved with the Heart Walk was because heart disease and stroke are the number 1 and 3 killers of men and women. In our office, we have personally experienced heart disease. Many of you know our team member, Greg Dorsey with ASG. While in his 30s, he suffered a heart attack in our office, and with great medical care and excellent research, he is a four-year survivor. I believe more research dollars can help prevent and treat heart disease. Greg was recognized at the November 2008 walk as the Lifestyle Change Award winner. We were proud to stand beside him as he represented our industry in receiving this award.

If you are unable to commit your firm to participate in the upcoming I would be honored if you would lead with your heart and match my personal donation of $100 to our team's fund-raising efforts. Imagine if everyone gave $100 to this tremendous cause; we surely will be making a difference!
